These 2 companions hold a special place in my heart. They’ve been gone for several years yet the memories of their unconditional love remain with me forever. The photo is of Sheeba on the first day we brought her home to meet Scruffy and they stayed joined at the hip. Scruffy was so excited to meet her new best friend. Little did she know that she was going to experience the terror of the mighty rat terrier. They wouldn’t have it any other way.

Such an adorable picture. So sorry about the loss of these sweethearts. Like you, my loss occurred a few years ago and seeing your strength in honoring them is giving me the courage to talk about my doggie, Stan. Just thinking about him made me cry. Now, I can feel OK talking about his passing. He was a gentle golden retriever from the pound. He developed cancer and had rapid weight loss. I will always miss him.
